An organic Matcha from Kagoshima for Usucha and Koicha
Matcha Horizon, organic brings a calm, green line to your bowl: smooth in profile, soft in the finish, and with a clear Umami side. It originates from Kagoshima, an important tea region in southern Japan, and features the Saemidori cultivar.
For Usucha, it presents itself pure and direct when you whisk Matcha lightly with water. For Koicha, the powder takes center stage: more concentrated, denser in Matcha content, and with a creamy mouthfeel.
The leaves grow under Jikase-kaen, meaning direct shading on the plant, for 20 to 30 days. The medium steaming level (Chumushi) strikes a balance between clear structure and more body, without making the tea feel heavy. Ground with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill; certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-006 and packed in a 30 g tin.
