Transparency you can taste
Good Matcha begins with trust. That is why at Matchashop, we do not only focus on color, aroma, texture, and Umami, but also on origin, processing, and certified quality. This allows you to enjoy your bowl of Matcha in peace and focus on what matters.
We do not believe in loud promises, but in clear information. Our mission is to carefully select Matcha, categorize it transparently, and offer you varieties that we stand behind ourselves.

What organic quality means to us
A large part of our range consists of certified Japanese organic matcha. When importing directly from Japan and trading organic products, we are subject to inspection by the organic control body DE-ÖKO-007.
- Independent inspection: Organic products are regularly and independently checked along the supply chain, from origin to import and sale.
- Verified origin: We ensure that the origin, producer, and cultivation method are as clearly traceable as possible.
- Reliable standards: Our non-organic certified varieties also naturally meet the legal requirements for food safety in the European Union.
Japanese tea culture with clear origin
Our Matcha comes from traditional tea regions of Japan, including Uji, Kagoshima, Kirishima, Yame, and Shizuoka. Many of our partners have been working with tea for generations, combining artisanal experience with modern quality assurance.
- Careful selection: We curate Matcha based on taste, origin, processing, and suitability for each specific moment of enjoyment.
- Gentle processing: Finely ground Matcha best preserves its vibrant color, fine texture, and characteristic depth when produced with patience and experience.
- Transparent product information: In our product descriptions, you will find details regarding the region, quality, use, and special characteristics of each variety.
Why we do not work with mountains of paper
Laboratory analyses and certificates are important. At the same time, we do not want to overwhelm you with confusing bureaucratic documents. Our responsibility begins earlier: in the selection of producers, the inspection of the supply chain, and the decision of which varieties are included in our range in the first place.
Where analyses, residue controls, and proof of origin are relevant, they are part of our diligent quality work. For you, this should result above all in one thing: a good feeling when purchasing and clear orientation within our range.
For your Matcha moment
Matcha is a sensitive natural product. That is why details matter: the origin of the leaves, the method of cultivation, the processing, the storage, and the freshness after opening. We inspect and monitor all of this with the experience we have gathered since 2011.
- Original Japanese Matcha
- Carefully curated varieties
