An organic Kabusecha from Kagoshima with a fresh, green profile
Kabuse No. 1 is a Japanese green tea for anyone who likes a present cup without the tea needing to be loud. It comes from Kagoshima in southern Japan and brings the early season straight into your teapot.
On the palate, it shows subtle Umami depth, floral nuances, and a gentle texture. The spring harvest sets a fresh, green frame; Fukamushi, the long steaming, gives the tea more presence in the cup.
For this Kabusecha, leaves from the first spring harvest (Ichibancha) are processed. They are shaded directly on the plant for 7 to 14 days: Jikase-kaen, a direct shading method for Japanese tea.
