An organic Kabuse Kukicha from Kagoshima with a calm green tea profile
This Kabuse Kukicha focuses on a calm, direct cup: green, tart, and present. The tart note adds definition, while the Kabuse profile gives the tea a distinctly Japanese character.
In preparation, it proves approachable for moments when you are looking for a straightforward green tea with a bit more body. Fukamushi, the long steaming, brings more presence to the cup and shifts the profile toward a denser green tea.
The tea comes from Kagoshima, an important tea region in southern Japan, and is organic-certified to DE-ÖKO-013. With Ichibancha, the first spring harvest, and Akibancha, the autumn harvest, it combines early freshness with a calmer seasonal framework.
Shading is done directly on the plant: Jikase-kaen. The shading duration is 7 to 14 days, giving this Kabuse Kukicha light to medium shading without making the profile feel heavy.
