An organic matcha blend from Kagoshima with warm roasted rice notes
Roasty Rebel is a certified organic blend with 75% Matcha, 15% mulberry leaves, and 10% roasted rice. It doesn’t present as a classic purist, but rather brings a green base with a calm, roasted side to your cup.
In Matcha lattes, iced lattes, and recipes, it reveals a warm and clear profile. Roasted notes add warmth to the profile, while the Matcha integrates well into milk, plant-based drinks, or culinary applications.
The Matcha originates from Kagoshima, a significant tea region in southern Japan. For this Matcha, leaves from the first spring harvest (Ichibancha) and the summer harvest (Nibancha) were used; the summer harvest brings more directness to the profile.
The leaves grow under Jikase-kaen, meaning direct shading on the plant, for 7 to 14 days. Grinding is done with a ball mill; you receive Roasty Rebel in a 50g package.
