A roasted organic Houjicha from Kagoshima with nutty warmth
Houjicha Miyama brings the calm side of Japanese tea to your cup: roasted, smooth in character and pleasantly grounded. The leaves show warm red and brown tones and, even when dry, look distinctly different from green Sencha.
On the palate, the tea is full-bodied and nutty, with subtle sweetness. The smooth, almost creamy texture makes it a tea for moments when you are looking for something warmer and rounder.
This Houjicha is made in Kirishima, Kagoshima, by Shutaro Hayashi. It is based on Sencha from the autumn harvest, which is artisan-roasted.
The tea is organic-certified to DE-ÖKO-039 and comes in a 100 g pack. As a low-caffeine Houjicha, it is also suitable for later in the day.
