A Southern Japanese organic Matcha from Kagoshima for clear Usucha
Southern Veil originates from Kagoshima, a significant tea region in Southern Japan, and presents a calm, pure Matcha character. If you wish to enjoy Matcha without milk or a recipe context, it brings a direct, green essence to the bowl.
Sensorially, it is full-bodied, with more body in the cup, without appearing heavy. Intended for Usucha: the lighter Matcha preparation with more water, where the tea is consumed pure and clear.
Saemidori, Okumidori, and Asahi are used for this blend. Saemidori lends a softer, greener direction to the profile, Okumidori adds tranquility and depth, and Asahi brings the classic Matcha reference to the blend.
The leaves are shaded for 20 to 30 days. Shading combines Tana-kaen, the modern frame shading, and Jikase-kaen, direct shading on the plant. Grinding is done with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill; organic certified according to DE-ÖKO-003.
