An organic Matcha from Kagoshima for Latte, Usucha and culinary use
Harvest Sun is an everyday Matcha for those seeking a clear green profile: present enough for Matcha lattes, direct enough for Usucha, and versatile for recipes, baked goods, or mixed drinks.
Sensorially, it presents as tart, with umami and a smooth side. The tart note provides contour, umami brings depth, and the smooth texture keeps the profile accessible – whether pure with water or in a softer drink with milk or plant-based alternatives.
This Matcha originates from Kagoshima, a significant tea region in southern Japan, and is organic-certified according to DE-ÖKO-003. This blend utilizes Saemidori and Asanoka; Saemidori contributes a smoother, greener direction, while Asanoka complements it with another green cultivar line.
The leaves are shaded for 20 to 30 days. This process combines Tana-kaen, a modern frame shading method, and Jikase-kaen, direct shading on the plant. Grinding is performed with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill.
